Former Deloitte marketer, Pamela Kemp, has been appointed local head of marketing for Hootsuite as part of a newly expanded leadership team.
Kemp will lead the social media management platform's marketing function in Australia and New Zealand. Hootsuite has also appointed former Dell, Oracle and Marketo executive, Heather Cook, as managing director and head of sales.
Kemp will use her 12 years of digital and content marketing leadership to champion Hootsuite’s digital marketing strategy and deliver seamless customer experiences, driving ROI. According to a statement, Kemp’s goal for the next 12 months is to develop a better-connected digital marketing community across A/NZ and support the conversation on how businesses can harness social media to deliver real customer and business value.
“Technology and psychology are rapidly converging and, when applied correctly, tech has the capability to help people, causes, brands and businesses connect and develop stronger relationships. Hootsuite and my profession has been at the forefront of this evolution and I love being a part of enabling these connections and seeing the positive impact they have on people and communities,” she said.
Roger Graham, head of Asia at Hootsuite said: “Our A/NZ brand and customers are extremely important to us at Hootsuite, and this is reflected in the strong relationships we have built with our community of digital marketers. Heather and Pamela will excel in their roles, helping our customers in A/NZ with solutions that drive ROI, deliver business value and enable great customer experiences. I’m delighted to welcome them both to Hootsuite, and can’t wait to see what they achieve here.”
Both Cook and Kemp have commenced their respective roles at Hootsuite A/NZ.
