AuMake appoints new executive-level marketing leader

New marketing chief brings retail expertise to growth focused retail and tourist business

AuMake has appointed Jenny Brown to the newly created role of group marketing manager, strengthening its senior management team.

A Certified Practising Marketer and Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute, Jenny Brown joins the Asian-focused ASX listed retailer after a successful 25-year career in the home and building, consumer goods, retail, wholesale and manufacturing industries.

Prior to her appointment, Brown was national marketing manager for window coverings manufacturer, Hunter Douglas, responsible for its Luxaflex Window Fashions retail network of over 150 stores around Australia. AuMake said Brown’s expertise will support the business’ future growth plans.

“Jenny has a proven track record of growing sales, profitability, building brand awareness and enhancing reputation by devising and delivering fully-integrated B2B and B2C national and local area marketing communication strategies,” said AuMake executive chairman, Keong Chan.

The appointment complements the recent organisational restructure and appointment of Helen Li to the role of group human resources manager. AuMake is also looking to fill the role of group operations manager, which will complete the newly created senior management team.

Brown said AuMake, a relatively young and evolving company, has a unique business model with significant growth potential.

“This role is a wonderful opportunity for me to bring my knowledge and experience to a new market and I look forward to working with the team, suppliers and customers to maximise our shared opportunities,” she said.
