Circles.Life executive hires will market mobile brand to youth

Singapore-based mobile virtual network operator to flex its strength in Australia and the region

Following its entry to the Australian telco market in late 2019, mobile virtual network operator, Circles.Life, has appointed a new local chief and head of marketing to spearhead growth.

Maik Retzlaff has joined as head of Australia, while new head of marketing is Emilie Chell.

Retzlaff most recently consulted to business management software firm, Twinn Technologies, and founded Tailored Wines, an online wine-making tool. Prior to this, he worked for mobile virtual network operator, amaysim, where he was commercial director of mobile until 2019.

Chell was most recently GM of marketing and customer experience for insurance firm, Integrity Life. In 2017, she was head of marketing and communications for Crown Group Holdings and has also marketed luxury brands for French group, Accor Hotels.

Chell saw Circles.Life disrupting Australia’s telco market and said she is “thrilled to have a hand in that journey”.

Singapore-based Circles.Life claims to have been the first fully digital telco. The company describes its product flexibility and app as popular with young Australians and digital natives.

“We’ve seen the rise of the neo bank, now it’s telcos’ turn. Circles.life is here to change the game,” said Retzlaff.
