Woolworths launches grocery collection at Melbourne Airport

The collection service point will be located at the airport’s terminal forecourt

Woolworths has launched a grocery collection service at Melbourne Airport.

Customers can order their groceries online or through the Woolworths app and collect them at the end of their flight.

“Our customers are increasingly embracing online and mobile platforms as a convenient and hassle free way to shop,” Kate Langford, head of online business development for Woolworths Supermarkets, said in a statement.

“The addition of Melbourne Airport to our already extensive click&collect service means that our customers can collect their groceries as soon as they walk out of the airport saving them time and allowing them to get home sooner.”

Chris Woodruff, CEO for Melbourne Airport, said around 80,000 passengers pass through Melbourne Airport every day and there are around 14,000 people who work in the precinct.

“We were very pleased to work with Woolworths on this innovative new service. Passengers using Melbourne Airport will be the first in Australia to experience this revolution in supermarket shopping,” he said.

The collection service point will be located at the airport’s terminal forecourt.
