Nadia Cameron

Editor & Publisher, CMO & Editor, CIO Magazine

Nadia is a respected and award-winning industry Journalist and Editor with more than 17 years’ experience. Throughout her career, she has maintained a focus on technology and business, working for titles such as CIO, Computerworld, PC World, Australian Reseller News (ARN), Exhibition News, Australian Telecom, Business Asia, and CMO.

From 2010 to 2012, Nadia was the Managing Editor of several national and global business publications for the UK live events industry, and created FaceTime Magazine in association with the Event Industry Alliance for event marketers. Nadia has also been responsible for launching and transforming key industry events, such as the annual ARN Industry Awards and Exhibition News Awards.

Nadia rejoined IDG Australia in 2013 to develop and launch the CMO brand as a dedicated title for the modern marketing chief. CMO focuses on the unique leadership, strategic marketing and technology challenges facing marketing and customer leaders, covering such topics as data-driven marketing, c-level relationship building, marketing technology innovations, emerging customer engagement trends and more. The brand is represented via an online offering, print magazine and growing portfolio of events.
In 2015, CMO launched the CMO50 program, an annual list recognising Australia’s most innovative marketing leaders. The CMO50 is now recognised as the country’s premiere list recognising modern marketing excellence and has grown to include a highly prestigious annual event.
Today, Nadia sits at the helm of CMO as Publisher and Editor and is also Associate Editor of CIO.

Jodie Sangster

Chief Executive Officer, Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising

Jodie Sangster is the CEO of the Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA), and the Institute for Analytics Professionals of Australia (IAPA).

Jodie began her career as a marketing and advertising lawyer in London, specialising in data. Her extensive experience in the fields of global data-driven marketing and advertising spans over 17 years and includes experience throughout the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific. During her career, she has held senior national, regional and global roles at ADMA, Acxiom Asia Pacific and the US DMA.

She returned to Australia in 2011 to become ADMA’s CEO. Her involvement with IAPA started three years later after the two struck a formal alliance. Jodie became IAPA’s CEO in August 2014 and is also current chair of the GlobalDMA, a consortium of 27 data-driven marketing associations around the world.

Anders Sorman-Nilsson

Global Futurist and Innovation Strategist

ANDERSRMAN-NILSSON (LLB / EMBA) is a global futurist and innovation strategist who helps leaders decode trends, decipher what’s next and turn provocative questions into proactive strategies.

With an average of 240 international travel days a year, Anders’ view is that the future and the now are converging in a city or start-up near you, giving the curious, the creative and the courageous a competitive and sustainable edge. At the same time, that same future contains fearsome forecasts for futurephobes.

This Swedish-Australian futurist has shared stage with Hillary Clinton, Nobel Laureates, and European and Australian heads of state. He is an active member of TEDGlobal, has keynoted at TEDx in the United States and Australia, was nominated to the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders in 2015, and was the keynote speaker at the G20’s Y20 Summit in Australia.

His thought leadership has been featured in international media like Monocle, Business Insider, Sky News Business, Financial Review, CIO Magazine and Boss. He is the author of the books Digilogue: how to win the digital minds and analogue hearts of tomorrow’s customers and Thinque Funky: Upgrade Your Thinking, and his upcoming book Seamless: the futurephile’s guide to leading digital
adaptation and human transformation is due for release by Wiley in October 2016.

His presentations are meticulously researched, highly energetic and always fascinating with content tailored to the audience, which is why clients like Apple, Cisco, Mercedes Benz, Hilton, SAP, Gartner and Macquarie Bank have turned to Anders over the years to help them turn research into foresight and business impact.

Caroline Ruddick

General Manager - Marketing, Latitude

Caroline Ruddick is the General Manager, Marketing at Latitude Financial Services. In this role Caroline has responsibility across Sales Finance, Credit Cards, Personal Loans and Insurance for Australia and New Zealand. Before joining Latitude, Caroline held the positions of Head of Marketing at AGL, Head of Marketing at Transurban and General Manager of Marketing at MYOB.

She held senior brand marketing and strategy roles at SEEK Ltd in Melbourne, Grey Worldwide in New York and George Patterson Bates in Melbourne. She began her brand marketing career in the FMCG sector with Procter& Gamble and Mars Confectionery of Australia. Caroline has 20 years experience in General Management, Marketing, Sales, Digital Transformation, Communications and Product.

Caroline has a Master of Commerce (Marketing & Organisational Behaviour) from the University of New South Wales, and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Business Law) from the University of Melbourne. She is also a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Jon O'Loughlin

Executive Director - Customer Experience, Kantar TNS

Jon joined Kantar TNS in July 2011 with over 25 years’ experience in market research, during which time he has conducted research across six continents.

He has national responsibility for the Customer Experience practice area at Kantar TNS Australia, providing consultancy to clients across all elements of their customer experience, employee engagement and corporate reputation programs.

Jon works in partnership with clients to Review, Renew and Reinvent their customer and employee engagement strategies. To this end, he combines multiple sources of insight, both traditional and digital, to help clients drive relevant and appropriate change through their business.

Jon is a firm believer of the 80:20 rule in customer strategies – 20% of the work should involve measurement activity, while 80% should be spent planning and implementing actions that use insights as the foundation for improvements.

Jon regularly publishes articles in the customer experience arena. Most recently, he wrote a response to a Mark Ritson article in Marketing magazine, countering the view that companies only need to run NPS programs. The article was the most shared article of the month and was read over 1,300 times on LinkedIn.

Bettina Pidcock

Chief Customer Officer, QBE

Bettina joined QBE as Executive General Manager – Marketing in 2016, bringing a depth of customer-focused marketing experience from leadership positions at ANZ, TAL, BT Financial Group, St George Bank, Westpac and MLC.

In 2017 Bettina was appointed to Chief Customer Officer (CCO) to cement work undertaken to increase customer focus and spearhead an expanded customer experience capability. The role’s remit also includes leadership of the marketing, communications and digital functions of the business, taking responsibility for championing and enhancing the QBE brand and its assets. Notably, and testament to her leadership skills and customer focus, Bettina is QBE’s first CCO.

MBA qualified, Bettina holds more than 20 years’ business experience and a solid track record increasing engagement and sales through a focus on innovative strategies and data-led insights.

Scott Downing

Chief Customer Officer, Rockend

Scott has a strong corporate background across the Telco and Finance sectors in Australia, Europe and Asia, being involved in several Greenfield start-up businesses. This allowed Scott shape the customer and employee experience from the offset which is what really energises him. Scott has also been instrumental in outsourcing work to India and the Philippines in several of his roles and he has loved working across these diverse locations and cultures. One thing that Scott is passionate about is helping leaders and teams embed the importance of the customer journey.

Scott has been accountable for on and offshore contact centres with over 1800 employees working across over 6 locations. Needless to say Scott doesn’t mind spending time on a plane!

In the last 5 years Scott became exposed to Systems Thinking and this is where he started to realise that he needed to change the way that he thought as well as lead his team if they were to be truly transformational and create amazing customer advocacy experiences. As he integrated the methodology into several organisations he quickly appreciated that the real way to accelerate systemic change was for leaders and teams to be communicating in the generative dialogue space. This is where he became exposed to Structural Dynamics.

Scott is also a certified NLP practitioner and is well known for his informal inclusive leadership style and ability to move business to a new era by transforming thinking as well as embedding innovative methodologies.
