Gail Tifford

Chief Brand Officer, WW (global)

Gail joined WW – the new Weight Watchers as Chief Brand Officer in March 2018. Prior to WW, Tifford served as Vice President of Media North America and Global Digital Innovation for Unilever, where she led media strategy and implementation for all Unilever categories and brands and served as a member of the Unilever Global Media Leadership Team. Prior to joining Unilever, Tifford was Vice-President, Strategic Partnerships at Viacom, where she developed multi-platform media and marketing programs for the MTV and VH1 brands. Earlier in her career, she spent more than 10 years at Unilever, working across many different brands in a variety of marketing roles. Tifford is also the co-founder of #SeeHer, an industry movement driving the more accurate portrayal of girls and women in media and advertising.

Andrew Chanmugam

Executive General Manager, Customer Experience

Andrew is the Executive General Manager of Customer Experience at Bankwest. He is passionate about delivering incredible customer experiences and is a values-led people leader with significant experience managing, coaching and growing high performing teams.

Andrew has worked at Telstra, Fox Sports and most recently Vodafone in senior management roles including marketing, strategy, transformation, finance, product management, business and enterprise. His career highlights range from leading corporate strategy during a multi-billion dollar turnaround, launching award-winning products and negotiating new strategic partnerships to launch new digital technology solutions that connect people, places and things.

Louise Eyres

Chief Marketing Officer, Sport Australia

Louise is a global marketing executive with a career spanning 25 years in transformative marketing roles across manufacturing, mining, financial services and now government, sport and health.

Louise has lead the establishment of the marketing, digital and insights functions and capability at the Australian Sports Commission and the transformational strategy to shift Australians’ connection with sport and physical activity – leading to its rebranding late 2018 to Sport Australia.

Prior to Sport Australia, Louise most recently was Group General Manager Marketing at ANZ having spent the past decade leading marketing in the Australian and Group Divisions.

Louise was responsible for delivering the transformative group wide marketing program to drive the ANZ Asia Pacific expansion and more recently the move to a digitally focused business.

Prior to ANZ, Louise held numerous global sales and marketing leadership roles with BHP Billiton including the development of the BHP Billiton global brand.

Louise is a board member of the Ad Standards Board, AANA, Sport Australia Hall of Fame and the Williamstown Football Club – the only independent VFL club.

Ric Navarro

Global Director of Marketing and Communications, Norman Disney & Young

Ric began his career as a journalist with one of Australia’s largest newspapers and subsequently went on to manage communications for Australian Prime Minister John Howard’s ‘Supermarket to Asia’ program.


Over his career, Ric has advised a number of leading firms in the mining, FMCG, infrastructure, retail, manufacturing, sports, built environment and professional services sectors. With these top brands, Ric led marketing, communications, digital strategy, corporate social responsibility, stakeholder management and client-centricity programs.


In his current role as the Global Director of Marketing & Communications for professional services consultancy Norman Disney & Young, Ric leads the strategic and tactical delivery of the firm’s marketing and communications across the organisation’s global footprint.

In November 2017, Ric was awarded one of the world’s Top 40 Most Influential Global Marketing Leaders by the World Marketing Congress. In 2018, Ric was ranked as Australia’s #6 CMO, building on his Top 20 CMO ranking in 2017, and Top 50 CMO ranking in 2016.

In November 2018, Ric was awarded CEO Magazine Marketing Executive of the Year for his contribution to the global growth of NDY and general contribution to the marketing profession.

Ric is the author of ‘Marketing with Purpose: a C-Suite guide to being truly customer-centric’.

Shalabh Atray

Chief Marketing Officer, Kraft Heinz

Shalabh Atray is the CMO for Kraft Heinz for Australia. He is responsible for leading the strategic thinking, innovation and creative aspects for all 25 categories and brands for Kraft Heinz in Australia.

Prior to his current role, Shalabh has held leadership positions in marketing and general management in Unilever in Asia Pacific and globally. Shalabh is a winner of Cannes Lion, Effies and D&AD Yellow Pencil awards. Shalabh is a regular keynote speaker in marketing forums in Australia and is a big believer in the power of brands to bring about change and address the challenges and issues confronting society and the planet today

Pascal Molenberghs

Associate Professor, Institute for Social Neuroscience

Associate Professor Pascal Molenberghs is a neuroscientist at the Institute for Social Neuroscience in Melbourne. He has previously worked at the University of Queensland, Monash University and the University of Melbourne. His research focuses on the neuroscience of intergroup relations, leadership, empathy, morality and the effects of stress on the brain.

His work has appeared in the leading scientific journals in his field as well as more than 500 media outlets across 65 countries, including stories in Time Magazine, The Age, New York Magazine, and the World Economic Forum.”

Diane Belan

Global General Manager, Marketing and Digital, Forever New

Diane is a strategic marketing and branding expert with 20 years of global marketing experience. Diane’s passion for innovation and customer insights has delivered tangible results for companies across a broad range of industries including engineering, financial services, luxury and retail.

Prior to moving to Melbourne, Australia in 2014, Diane was based in New York City and held senior marketing and digital roles at major international brands including David Yurman, Louis Vuitton, and American Express.
Diane is currently leading the global Marketing and Digital team at Forever New where she overseas marketing, data insights, creative and ecommerce.
Prior to joining Forever New, Diane was Head of Marketing at Country Road.
Over the course of her career, she has worked on numerous transformational projects leveraging customer insights and technology to deliver better brand experiences.

Teresa Sperti

Former CMO, World Vision and Founder, Arktic Fox

Teresa is a commercial marketing and digital leader with over 20 years experience working for an array of brands including World Vision, Officeworks, Coles and realestateVIEW.com.au.

Teresa’s leadership in the digital, product and customer space has delivered substantial growth for organizations and transformative change in rapidly evolving markets. Teresa has proven expertise as a digital change agent having successfully led customer & digital transformation for several organisations during her career and advocates agile and lean marketing practices that allow brands to adapt in the era of always on change.

As the former World Vision Chief Marketing, Data and Product Officer, Teresa was named number 16 in CMO magazine’s top 50 most innovative & effective marketing leaders in the country.

After a long and successful career leading change, growth & transformation within organisations, Teresa has recently launched a new advisory and learning organisation called Arktic Fox. Arktic Fox partners with Marketing & Customer leaders to help drive the transformation & growth agenda, through shaping a clear vision and strategic direction, building and embedding capabilities and delivering sustainable change.

Nadia Cameron

Nadia Cameron, Publisher and Editor, CMO

Nadia is a respected and award-winning industry Journalist and Editor with 17 years’ experience and is the Publisher and Editor of CMO from IDG.

Throughout her career, she has maintained a focus on technology and business, working for titles such as CIO, Computerworld, PC World, Australian Reseller News (ARN), Exhibition News, Business Asia, and now CMO. From 2010 to 2012, Nadia was Managing Editor of business publications for the UK live events industry, and created FaceTime Magazine for event marketers. She’s also responsible for launching and transforming key industry events, such as the annual ARN Industry Awards and Exhibition News Awards.

Nadia rejoined IDG Australia in 2013 to create CMO, a dedicated title for the modern marketing chief. In 2015, CMO launched the CMO50 program, now recognised as the country’s premiere list for modern marketing excellence, supported by a highly prestigious annual event.

John Menagh

Commerce Solution Specialist, Sitecore

John has joined Sitecore as Commerce Solution Specialist GA. He brings subject matter expertise into the discussion of Commerce across all digital and physical touch points. Using content and context to drive increased revenue, repeat purchasing and improve customer lifetime value via personalised experiences, on and off line; the new commerce paradigm.

Prior to Sitecore, John has a dozen years in software, from SaaS Martech to ERP to Commerce platforms. This, combined with a 10 year run in ‘shop floor’ retailing is where the passion for commerce comes from. Originally a medical scientist, John is now a data nerd by choice and data is the key to all things personalisation!
