  • Dr Catriona Wallace

    Founder & Executive Director, Flamingo AI

    Dr Catriona Wallace is an entrepreneur in the Artificial Intelligence field, and Founder & Executive Director of the Stock Exchange listed company Flamingo AI - a Machine-Learning company with headquarters in New York and Sydney.

    Having recently been inducted into the Royal Institution of Australia in 2019, recognising her excellence in scientific achievement and commitment to science in Australia, Dr Catriona Wallace is one of the world’s most cited experts on Artificial Intelligence, Ethics & Human Rights in technology and Women in Leadership. Dr Catriona Wallace has established herself as the innovative go-to expert for optimizing customer experience. As a result, she's the most natural authority to consult with when looking at ways to introduce emerging technologies into business.

    In 2014, Catriona founded artificial intelligence FinTech Flamingo AI, a company working at the cutting edge of AI technology to provide Cognitive Virtual Assistants for employees and customers. Flamingo AI is the second only female led (CEO & Chair) business ever to list on the Australian Stock Exchange.

    Dr Catriona Wallace has a long list of accolades. She has achieved significant awards in technology & innovation and recently won the FinTech Leader and Overall Excellence in Finance award by Women in Finance (2018). In large part, this success comes directly as a result of her ability to analyze data and identify specific problems.

    Catriona has a PhD in Organizational Behavior and is a published author and analyst. Catriona is also a philanthropist, human rights activist and mother of five.

  • Rosemary Martin

    Chief customer officer, flybuys

    Rosemary Martin has been focussed on customer-led strategy and thinking for over 15 years, with marketing and commercial experience spanning a range of industries andbrands such as Publicis Mojo, London Business School and ANZ Bank, before joining Coles and helping to relaunch the flybuys program in 2012.  
    As chief customer officer for flybuys, Rosemary brings a deep understanding of customers to the broader business to inform strategy and decision making. She also has responsibility for developing the customer product roadmap and associated value propositions, as well as flybuys’ brand and go-to-market strategy.With more than two thirds of Australian households active in the flybuys program and over 20 participating partner brands, there isa wealth of internal and external data sets that can be considered in generating the best value and experiences for customers. However this also requires careful consideration of legal and ethical standards, in order to build and maintain an ongoing relationship of trust and transparency with flybuys members. These considerations are embedded in the decisions that Rosemary and the flybuys team make on a daily basis.

    General Manager, Operations & Technology, News Xtend

    Christopher is News Xtend’s General Manager of Operations and Technology. Responsible for driving performance-based results through digital advertising, he ensures industry standards and best practice is implemented across all products. Christopher’s role has him responsible for building and delivering market-leading Ad Operations across News Xtend’s Product suite. As well as implementing technology, ensuring all post-sale fulfilment is executed and ensuring customer satisfaction and provision for excellent service.

    Nadia is a respected and award-winning industry Journalist and Editor with 17 years’ experience and is the Publisher and Editor of CMO from IDG.

    Throughout her career, she has maintained a focus on technology and business, working for titles such as CIO, Computerworld, PC World, Australian Reseller News (ARN), Exhibition News, Business Asia, and now CMO. From 2010 to 2012, Nadia was Managing Editor of business publications for the UK live events industry, and created FaceTime Magazine for event marketers. She’s also responsible for launching and transforming key industry events, such as the annual ARN Industry Awards and Exhibition News Awards.

    Nadia rejoined IDG Australia in 2013 to create CMO, a dedicated title for the modern marketing chief. In 2015, CMO launched the CMO50 program, now recognised as the country’s premiere list for modern marketing excellence, supported by a highly prestigious annual event.
