Keypath Education has brought on a new executive director overseeing marketing and customer experience.
The eight-year-old higher education and training business has recruited former NAB head of marketing and CX for everyday banking, Sheena Sudra, to head up its marketing and customer efforts across Asia-Pacific. The priority list includes driving strategy and performance, leading and managing the team and furthering a culture of growth and innovation, plus working closely with university partners.
Sudra comes with 20 years’ senior marketing experience locally as well as in the UK and UAE. Her resume includes 10 years with National Australia Bank, where she started as a marketing manager and held several positions across credit cards, personal and home loans and emerging markets before rising to GM of consumer banking then head of marketing for everyday banking.
Prior to this, Sudra held marketing roles with ANZ, CPA Australia, plus UK-based Ascential and ICPL.
Sudra’s role of executive director, marketing and CX is a new one for Keypath, indirectly replacing the director of marketing and product Asia-Pacific position held by Lisa-Jane McDonald. However, it does not include product. McDonald has since moved to become director of strategic initiatives for Keypath.
“I have a deep passion for unearthing customer insights and using these to bring teams together to reimagine new solutions to better meet ever-changing customer needs,” Sudra commented in a post announcing her appointment at Keypath Education. “I'm deeply motivated by working in a positive team culture and creating a diverse and inclusive workplace for the team to learn and grow together and have a fulfilling career experience.
“As the world recovers from the global pandemic and digital transformation is at the forefront of education, I believe there has never been a better time to make a big impact on helping adult learners access education to reach their full career potential.”
Sudra noted an industry level, there is exciting market dynamic underway in which further education plays an essential role.
“There are critical global skills shortages that need to be addressed; the online higher education industry is growing significantly, and student needs are evolving with increased demand for access to quality online degrees to help them realise their potential faster,” she said. “All of this presents an extraordinary opportunity to address global imbalances in skills and reimagine the entire student experience from student research to graduation, the ultimate moment of truth.
“This excites me as Keypath is a market leader in edtech and is well-positioned to provide an exceptional student experience through digitally-led education solutions.”
Sudra also highlighted three key interlinked metrics that will help her in the new post: Student and partner satisfaction, employee engagement and ROI.
