Former NRMA and Rest Super marketer, Jane Merrick, has become the new marketing director for Intuit QuickBooks Australia.
Merrick boasts of more than 20 years’ marketing experience across the financial services, technology and travel sectors. Most recently, she spent a year working with Rest Super as general manager of brand and marketing. Prior to this, she was general manager of marketing, distribution and sales for World Nomads Group, part of nib Travel.
Merrick also spent more than eight years with IAB, culminating in the role of general manager of marketing and customer across the insurance group’s consumer division and NRMA. During this tenure, Merrick was recognised in the CMO50 of Australia's most innovative and effective marketing leaders.
In a statement, Intuit said Merrick will play a crucial role in driving customer acquisition and retention, building out a clear brand proposition and leveraging the expertise that sits across the global Intuit network.
She replaces Toby McKinnon, who left Intuit in February after a two-and-a-half-year stint with the technology vendor.
“Small businesses underpin Australia’s economic success and I’m thrilled to help support this passionate group of owners and operators,” Merrick commented. “I’ve been impressed by the high-performing and inclusive culture since joining Intuit QuickBooks, the innovative nature of the products and the willingness to approach problems with a fresh mindset.
“I’m excited to be part of the leadership team as we enter a new growth phase for Intuit QuickBooks in Australia in support of our small business and advisor communities.”
Intuit’s brand portfolio includes QuickBooks, Mint, Credit Karma and TurboTax.
