Former World Vision Australia CMO joins the employment site's team as marketing leader

Seek has recruited World Vision Australia’s chief marketing officer, Maryanne Tsiatsias, as its new marketing director for A/NZ.

In her new role, Tsiatsias is responsible for leading the jobs platform’s marketing function across the two countries, encompassing B2B and B2C, digital and offline media, customer strategy and insight, data and analytics, creative production and CRM. She reports directly to Seek A/NZ managing director, Kendra Banks, who kicked off her own career at Seek in marketing before rising up to chief commercial officer then MD in 2018.

Tsiatsias’ recruitment comes after a comprehensive internal and external search to fill the vacant marketing director position. She officially commenced this week.

“We are excited to have Maryanne’s creativity, drive and customer focus join us at Seek, and her wide-ranging experience will make for a great contribution to our leadership team,” Banks said in a statement to CMO.

“Most importantly, Maryanne is an impressive leader, and will be a great culture-add to SEEK - she is a certified leadership coach and is passionate about diversity and inclusion.”

Tsiatsias has spent the last 18 months with World Vision Australia as its chief marketing officer. Prior to this, she had a short stint with AIA in marketing. She spent 16 years at Telstra, working her way up from marketing planning manager and marketing operation roles to director of operations delivery and engagement.

“I am very excited to lead the marketing function for SEEK, it is an iconic Australian brand that supports so many Australians and New Zealanders to fulfil their career aspirations," she said in a statement. "I feel very fortunate to be able to join the SEEK team, and be a part of an organisational culture that was recently voted the Best Place to Work in Australia.”
