Cover-More Group has confirmed a new group chief marketing officer to oversee its travel insurance business across more than 15 countries including Australia.
Chris Noble joins the business from his previous role as general manager and CMO of online travel insurance provider, World Nomads, where he spent 15 years. He boasts of more than 20 years’ experience across brand strategy development, ecommerce, strategic partnership, community and team development and leadership. He was also the founder of footprintsnetwork.org, a not-for-profit organisation that raised $5 million through micro-donations to fund 249 community development projects globally.
The newly created role sees Noble reporting directly to CEO, Cara Morton. In a statement, Noble said he was looking forward to the opportunity as consumers start to get back to travelling locally and globally.
As an avid and community-minded traveller, he said he fully understood the extent of pent-up demand that will follow the opening of international borders, and the heightened level of care and protection that travellers will expect from travel insurance providers.
“Cover-More has always shown a strong desire to put their travellers and the communities they travel with and through at the heart of the business. It’s been the company’s purpose and passion for years,” Noble commented. “They genuinely want to create human connections and strengthen those through the services and products they create. That is a business I want to help grow.”
Cover-More Group is part of the Zurich Insurance Group and usually provides travel insurance to more than 15 million business and leisure travellers annually. It also offers emergency medical assistance and health support through multiple centres globally.
Morton highlighted a number of key areas of focus for Noble, including building direct-to-market digital channels globally and a soon-to-be-launched leisure travel apps offering.
“I am thrilled that Chris has joined Cover-More Group as group chief marketing officer to lead our global progress in digital and direct channels,” she said. “We’re looking forward to having Chris’s skillset dedicated to power Cover-More’s key global priorities.”
