Capgemini completes RXP Services acquisition

Technology and professional services business, Capgemini, has completed the acquisition of RXP Services, a move that expands its operations in Australia and strengthens its ability to provide end-to-end digital solutions to clients across the region at scale.
The acquisition also reinforces Capgemini's strategic partnerships with Microsoft, ServiceNow and Salesforce.
“RXP’s extensive expertise and knowledge further deepen our networks and capabilities to meet the anticipated growth in demand for digital services and we are delighted to welcome them to the Capgemini team,” said Capgemini CEO, Olaf Pietschner.
In addition, RXP’s creative agency, The Works, will open a new chapter for Capgemini in Australia, complementing the capabilities of Capgemini Invent to enable the design and delivery of end to end amazing and differentiated digital experiences for clients.
RXP is headquartered in Melbourne with locations in Sydney, Canberra and Hobart. The deal adds more than 550 professionals to Capgemini.
RXP is one of a growing throng of traditional ICT consultancies extending their reach into the agency space in recent years. The company acquired The Works in 2017 in a deal worth up to $33 million, part of its bid to expand its digital customer experience delivery capability and its presence in the NSW market. The move also reflected the larger trend to unite brand and creative capability with technology and customer experience design.
Together, Capgemini and RXP will employ over 2000 people in Australia. The combined team will focus on accelerating digital transformation for businesses across industries locally, offering capabilities in strategy and transformation, application and technology, and operations and engineering.
