JCurve Solutions marketing chief, Kate Massey, has resigned from her post after an 11-year stint.

Massey joined the ASX-listed cloud software company, NetSuite’s largest 5-star solution partner globally, in 2009 back under its Stratatel branding as marketing manager. She worked her way up to head of marketing then chief marketing officer in October 2017.

In a comment posted on LinkedIn, Massey said she knew it was a bold decision to leave the business during a pandemic, but was looking forward to “plunging into the exciting unknown”.

“The most life defining and memorable moments in my life were never created by playing it safe. I love and thrive on a challenge, and when you know it's the right decision you just know,” she stated.

Massey said she was proud of the company and culture she has contributed to building. “It's been an unbelievable journey resulting in JCS achieving countless milestones and accomplishments, as well as for me personally and professionally kicking a ridiculous number of goals,” she continued. “The highs and lows have challenged me while providing opportunities for learning and growth. We learnt when we got it wrong and celebrated our successes - and what successes we’ve had.”

Massey’s efforts at JCurve over recent years have seen her repeatedly featured in CMO’s CMO50 list of Australia’s most effective and innovative marketing leaders, as well as chalk up an array of industry accolades.

A more recent achievement at JCurve was transforming the company’s delivery model using experiences from hundreds of projects to create industry-specific rapid implementations to ensure time-poor businesses get implemented faster. This work quickly translated into results, lifting average deal size by 68 per cent to $43,000 over two years and generating $12.6m of revenue in the last financial year.

Massey said she’ll take the opportunity for some R&R first before exploring her professional future prospects. JCurve has not yet announced Massey's replacement or plans for the marketing leadership position.

Alongside the day job, Massey is a serious fundraiser and advocate for Cure Cancer Australia Foundation and has completed a number of memorable endurance challenges to raise money for this great cause. These include completing the Kokoda Trail, the Salcantay Trek to Machu Picchu, a Sydney Half-Marathon, conquering the highest-free standing mountain in the world Mount Kilimanjaro, the New York Marathon and the Larapinta Trail in Outback Australia. These have seen her personally raise over $70,000 and collectively raise over $730,000.
