Report: Forrester names employee experience leaders

Forrester has released The Forrester New Wave: EX Management Platforms

Forrester has released The Forrester New Wave: EX Management Platforms for Large Enterprises, Q1 2020, naming Qualtrics, Confirmit, Medallia and MaritzCX as leaders in employee experience management (EX) platforms.

Forrester said EX management platforms are foundational for listening. By gathering ongoing employee engagement and sentiment data from both survey and non-survey sources; performing scientifically valid, AI-enhanced analysis on combined data sets; and making the results available in powerful ways; these solutions make it easier to accurately identify EX bright spots and trouble spots so CIOs can know where to focus limited resources for the greatest benefit.

The Forrester New Wave differs from the traditional Forrester Wave as it assesses only emerging technologies, with analysis on a 10-criterion survey and a two-hour briefing with each evaluated vendor. Each of the vendors has: A complete employee experience management solution, multiple large enterprise customers, and client inquiries and/or capabilities that have put it on Forrester's radar.

Qualtrics was selected for its robust platform, flexibility and analytics capabilities as well as text analytics, integration, willingness to collaborate, and the industrial and organisational psychology expertise that it makes available to clients. Qualtrics was the only leader who received a differentiated rating in seven of 10 criteria.

“Forrester’s recognition of employee experience management platforms as an emerging category comes at a critical time when companies across industries and regions are listening more intentionally and more often to their employees to help them navigate workplace, health, and economic changes,” Qualtrics EVP and GM of EmployeeXM, Jay Choi, said.

“We’re delighted to be recognised by Forrester as a leader in Employee Experience Management as we invest aggressively to help companies transform daily listening into daily actions that unlock employee potential and improve wellbeing.”

Confirmit was selected as a leader for its flexibility, integration capability, scalability and analysis. Medallia was selected for its more complete CX integration, MaritzCX, an InMoment Company, for its CX heritage and EX solution maturity.

“Connecting CX and EX programs together brings a higher level of success and ROI to every program,” CEO of InMoment, Andrew Joiner, said. “We believe being ranked a Leader showcases both our superior technology and consulting excellence, and ultimately showcases the success we are bringing to clients and the market.”

Limeade, Glint, Peakon, InMoment, and Quantum Workplace were named as strong performers; and Ultimate Software, CultureIQ, and QuestionPro were contenders.
