Viva Energy appoints Myer marketer to CMO role

Andrew Egan has been appointed as general manager marketing for Viva Energy Australia.
Egan most recently held senior marketing, brand and consumer roles at Myer.
His role as group general manager of marketing at Myer saw him lead the omni-channel brand management across marketing, digital, loyalty and data which was closely aligned to customer insights.
In a statement, Viva Energy said the appointment signals Viva Energy's renewed focus on retail customers, and in using market driven insights to drive strong brand and value perception of the retail business in a highly competitive category.
Egan said he’s pleased to be joining Viva Energy.
“I’m delighted to be joining one of Australia’s leading and most respected energy companies. I look forward to leveraging my experience in data and consumer insights to help Viva Energy grow its retail offering and brand across the country.”
Egan's career spans across both an agency and marketing background, with a strong understanding of the customer, brand building and driving strong commercial returns across multiple sectors including; retail department stores, aviation, FMCG, publishing, liquor, insurance and financial services.
Egan is expected to help drive the strategic direction of the Viva Energy retail channel.
