Carat CMO, Andrea Rule, is switching media agency for professional social networking and taking up a role with LinkedIn.
Rule has been appointed head of enterprise sales for LinkedIn’s Marketing Solutions business across Australia and New Zealand. She reports to LinkedIn’s director for Marketing Solutions, Prue Cox, and officially takes up the post on 1 April. She replaces Kae Hum, who has now joined Uber.
Rule has spent just shy of two years with Carat, joining the team from Yahoo7, where she was head of brand. Prior to her five years with Yahoo7, she was group business director at the MediaCom group, and also worked as its head of digital.
In her new role at LinkedIn, Rule is tasked with growing the enterprise sales business across A/NZ by helping customers and agencies leverage LinkedIn marketing solutions. Cox said she was excited to have Rule joining the team.
“With over 13 years’ experience in digital sales and marketing, Andrea will perfectly complement our mission to be customer focused and deliver outcome-based solutions,” she said.
Rule said she was also delighted to have the opportunity to lead enterprise sales at LinkedIn. “As a B2B marketer, LinkedIn is the most exciting place to be. I am looking forward to working with a talented team and leading the way in this space for clients,” she said.
