AMEX brings US VP of customer relationships back to Australia to lead A/NZ

American Express is bringing its US VP of customer relationship management back to local shores as its new managing director for Australia and New Zealand.
Corrina Davison is returning to Australia to oversee operations across both countries, including marketing, acquisition, product development and partnerships. The former Sydney sider is currently VP and head of US customer relationship manager, American Express Global Commercial Services, and based in New York.
She first joined AMEX locally as a marketing manager in 2001, then relocated to the US in 2012. Initially, she was part of a small team responsible for defining and building a national loyalty and performance marketing program. There she played a key role in strategic planning and design elements including customer value proposition, partner strategy, and data agreements while negotiating key commercial terms with program strategic sponsors.
Prior to this, Davison served as VP and GM of marketing Australia/New Zealand. She led brand, CRM, Membership Rewards, strategic partner and benefits in order to deliver premium value and profitable growth across the Consumer and Small Business portfolios.
In recent years and in addition to her professional role, Davison has been on the Women United Executive Committee – United Way, a New York-based organisation aimed at helping mobilise communities to help improve the lives of lower-income individuals living in the Big Apple.
“Australia and New Zealand are incredibly important to American Express, driving innovation and growth for the company, especially in digital payments,” Davison commented in a statement.
“I’m excited to be returning home and I’m looking forward to continuing the strong growth in our business and providing our card members with the backing and exceptional service they expect from American Express.”
Davison is replacing Rachel Stocks, who has been promoted to executive VP, global premium products and benefits. Stocks has spent the last five years heading up the A/NZ organisation, a time of significant industry and regulatory change. Among her achievements are delivering record acquisition and billings growth, and championing gender pay equity.
Stocks also worked her way up the executive chain at AMEX, starting as a VP of customer loyalty and engagement in 2004 before several other VP roles.
