JB HI-FI gets new marketing chief and CIO

Two new recruits will report directly to the CEO

JB HI-FI has appointed a new marketing director and CIO to join its executive team.

Kevin Ramsdale joined the retailer as marketing director after spending the past five years with National Australia Bank in a variety of roles including GM of marketing for the NAB brand and its products and markets division. He previously spent four years with Bupa as head of marketing and head of product and policy, and prior to that, spent 15 years with Ford Motor Company.

Ramsdale is being joined by new CIO, Simon Page, who was most recently the GM of information, digital and technology for postal services at Australia Post. With more than 15 years’ experience in technology roles in Australia and abroad, Page’s resume also includes the CTO and GM of strategy and architecture roles at Tabcorp, as well as stints in consulting with Anderson Consulting and Accenture.

Page and Ramsdale take up their new roles in September and report to JB HI-FI CEO, Richard Murray.

“Both Kevin and Simon are proven executives and highly regarded in their respective fields,”Murray said in an ASX statement. “Kevin has a strong track record of driving commercial performance in customer-focused businesses, and Simon has consistently delivered high-quality technology solutions.

“Kevin and Simon join JB-HI-FI at an exciting time and add further depth and quality to the management team.”
