Aussie employment tech startup, WithYouWithMe, has promoted its engaging and strategy leader to chief marketing officer.
Cia Kouparitsas joined the business in January as its global VP of engagement and strategy and has been working to build the company’s presence in both the Australian and Canadian markets. She’s also been working on go-to-market strategies of the UK and United States for the startup, which focuses on the global employment landscape.
Prior to WithYouWithMe, Kouparitsas was group head of brand and engagement for the Boustead Geospatial Group and Esri. She has more than 20 years’ experience servicing the marcomms/IT sectors across the Asia-Pacific, North American and UK markets, and has led award-winning programs recognised by the Public Relations Institute of Australia and Sabre Asia Pacific.
“I was drawn to WithYouWithMe because of its powerful mission to provide underemployed individuals with everything they need – from aptitude testing to identify a suitable career through to certified training and job placement – so they can pursue meaningful careers in technology,” Kouparitsas said. “It’s very rewarding to be working at a social impact company that’s changing the world for good, by helping organisations build robust technology workforces and individuals secure in-demand tech careers.”
WithYouWithMe CEO and founder, Tom Moore, said the startup is going through an exciting growth period as it looks to international expansion. In 2019, WithYouWithMe was recognised as the fastest growing technology company in the Asia-Pacific in the Deloitte Fast 50. It currently has 550 employees globally across Australia, Canada, the US and UK and claims to have more than 56,000 platform users.
“As our CMO, Cia will be instrumental in driving our company forward. We are on a mission to solve underemployment globally – and Cia has the right skills and drive to connect us with the individuals and like-minded partners we need to make this happen,” Moore stated.
In the third and final episode of our 3-part CMO50 video series exploring modern marketing and why it’s become a matter of trust, we’re delighted to be joined by Telstra’s former CMO and now digital services and sales executive, Jeremy Nicholas, and Adobe VP Marketing Asia-Pacific and Japan, Duncan Egan.
Flash back to the classic film, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Television-obsessed Mike insists on becoming the first person to be ‘sent by Wonkavision’, dematerialising on one end, pixel by pixel, and materialising in another space. His cinematic dreams are realised thanks to rash decisions as he is shrunken down to fit the digital universe, followed by a trip to the taffy puller to return to normal size.
Why is it there is no shortage of leadership development materials, yet outstanding leadership is so rare? Despite having access to so many leadership principles, tools, systems and processes, why is it so hard to develop and improve as a leader?
As a nation united by sport, brands are beginning to learn money alone won’t talk without aligned values and action. If recent events with major leagues and their players have shown us anything, it’s the next generation of athletes are standing by what they believe in – and they won’t let their values be superseded by money.
