It’s that time of the year again: CMO50 nominations time!
CMO is delighted to officially open nominations for the CMO50 2022, our annual list recognising Australia’s 50 most innovative and effective Chief Marketing Officers exhibiting demonstrable impact across their organisation.
Now in its eighth year, this annual list celebrates those leading the marketing function who are displaying innovative, strategic marketing thinking, driving business change and commercial success, showcasing modern marketing leadership, and enabling greater collaboration and better customer engagement as a result. Through this, our ultimate aim is to elevate the role of Australian marketing leaders in business and as contributors to organisational growth.
The 2022 CMO50 list is brought to you by our exclusive sponsor, Adobe.
The CMO50 has proven itself to be one of the most credible, important ways Australian marketing leaders can reflect on what it takes to be an impactful, commercially driven modern marketing leader. Not only do we provide a forum to celebrate the most strategic and inspiring marketing chiefs individually, the CMO50 program also gives marketing leaders the ability to reflect on the hard work and success of their whole function – a critical tool when building a world-class team.
We aim to recognise the role of the CMO in 2022 via:
- Innovative and effective marketing strategy
- A customer engagement-led approach to marketing
- Application of data insight in marketing strategy and customer engagement
- Empowered, bold and strategic thinking
- Leadership that’s driving a high-performing team and engaged culture
- Demonstration of marketing’s commercial effectiveness and contribution to growth
The CMO50 is open to the top Australia-based marketer within an organisation with responsibility for the vision and strategy of the whole company marketing function. Full criteria for the CMO50 can be found here. In order to be included in the judging process, marketers have to complete our 2022 submission questionnaire.
Questionnaires must be completed and sent to CMO Publisher and Editor, Nadia Cameron: nadia_cameron@idg.com
Extended and final nominations deadline for the CMO50 2022 is now Friday 26 August 2022.
To ensure our CMO50 is as comprehensive and commendable as possible, we have compiled a strong industry judging panel to determine the final 50 list. Our judging panel encompasses respected figures from different parts of the industry, including former marketing and brand leaders, agency and industry association representatives, along with creativity, leadership, innovation and data experts. You can find out more about our 2022 judges here.
The 2022 CMO50 will be revealed at our special in-person CMO50 event, in CMO magazine October 2022, online in our dedicated portal: www.cmo.com.au/cmo50.
This year, we're delighted to confirm the return of our exclusive dinner event to celebrate the achievements of the CMO50 on 27 October 2022. The exclusive occasion provides a valuable networking forum for Australia’s leading marketers. All nominees will be given a complimentary ticket to attend the CMO50 gala event.
