Merrick joins Intuit QuickBooks as marketing chief

Former NRMA marketer joins the accouting technology vendor as Australian marketing director

Former NRMA and Rest Super marketer, Jane Merrick, has become the new marketing director for Intuit QuickBooks Australia.

Merrick boasts of more than 20 years’ marketing experience across the financial services, technology and travel sectors. Most recently, she spent a year working with Rest Super as general manager of brand and marketing. Prior to this, she was general manager of marketing, distribution and sales for World Nomads Group, part of nib Travel.

Merrick also spent more than eight years with IAB, culminating in the role of general manager of marketing and customer across the insurance group’s consumer division and NRMA. During this tenure, Merrick was recognised in the CMO50 of Australia's most innovative and effective marketing leaders.

In a statement, Intuit said Merrick will play a crucial role in driving customer acquisition and retention, building out a clear brand proposition and leveraging the expertise that sits across the global Intuit network.

She replaces Toby McKinnon, who left Intuit in February after a two-and-a-half-year stint with the technology vendor.

Intuit’s brand portfolio includes QuickBooks, Mint, Credit Karma and TurboTax.
