A call to participate in CMO's 2021 marketing leadership survey

Complete our State of the CMO 2021 research survey and you could win a $300 VISA card

CMO is calling on Australia’s senior marketing fraternity to complete our annual State of the CMO research survey to understand how the role of the marketing leader and remit continues to evolve.

This important research program, which CMO introduced in 2018, provides a benchmark in terms of the CMO position and marketing function, and shines a unique light on where marketing leaders are focusing their efforts and experiencing challenges. The questions relate to leadership responsibility, salary, tenure, technology purchasing and utilisation, CX ownership and business priorities.

Please help us in gauging the CMO's state of affairs by filling in this year’s survey and you'll have the opportunity to win a $300 VISA credit voucher. All participants will also receive a courtesy whitepaper PDF of the full report.

Click here to complete the survey

The survey should take no more 15 minutes to complete. Responses must be submitted by 3 May 2021.

All responses are kept strictly confidential, results are used in aggregate and contact details are not kept, so the team here at CMO strongly encourages you to share your thoughts today. To see the full terms and conditions of this survey, please click here.

And if you'd like to check out our 2020 edition and findings, you can download the State of the CMO 2020 whitepaper here.

Marketing prowess versus the enigma of the metaverse

Flash back to the classic film, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Television-obsessed Mike insists on becoming the first person to be ‘sent by Wonkavision’, dematerialising on one end, pixel by pixel, and materialising in another space. His cinematic dreams are realised thanks to rash decisions as he is shrunken down to fit the digital universe, followed by a trip to the taffy puller to return to normal size.

More than money talks in sports sponsorship

As a nation united by sport, brands are beginning to learn money alone won’t talk without aligned values and action. If recent events with major leagues and their players have shown us anything, it’s the next generation of athletes are standing by what they believe in – and they won’t let their values be superseded by money.
