Australian renewable energy management firm, Evergen, has brought on its first chief marketing and analytics officer.
Juliette Macauley joins the business from Commonwealth Bank, where she was executive manager of data and decision science for home buying. During her two-and-a-half year stint with the banking giant, she was also executive manager of business insight and analytics.
In all, Macauley boasts of 15 years’ experience in data and decision sciences, business analysis and intelligence, including roles with Macquarie Bank and Westpac. She was also previously an accountant, working for Salomon Smith Barney and HSBC.
Evergen CEO, Ben Hutt, said it was a pivotal time in the organisation’s growth, at a time when there is unprecedented interest and change around how we generate and consume energy.
Evergen focuses on deploying integrated and intelligent energy systems combining solar power and battery technology in both commercial and residential markets. Developed within CSIRO, the business counts one of its major investors as AMP Capital and has earned several accolades for its approach to energy management.
“Juliette has a great combination of skills and experience and brings to Evergen a sound knowledge of leveraging analytics to grow the business, having established new products and businesses, developing startup businesses, helping grow revenue and working closely with associated teams,” Hutt said.
Macauley said she was looking forward to building the brand as well as taking a critical role in driving its growth. Evergen previously maintained a head of marketing, Charlotte Henley-Fox, who has left the business.
“Evergen will become a key constituent in the decentralisation of energy networks in Australia and elsewhere in the world, leveraging its technology and its installed base to create virtual power plants,” she commented. “I am looking forward to developing new business opportunities and building strong relationships with key stakeholders to deliver benefits aligned to and supporting the Evergen business strategy.”
Climate change has never been more evident, and people around the world are beginning to rapidly change how they consume energy, Hutt added.
“Solar and battery technology, and the decentralisation of energy networks, is critical to this and Evergen is at the forefront globally of the technology required to power and coordinate the energy network of the future.”
