Pandora MD announces departure

The cloud-based music platform's managing director leaves after four years in the role

A/NZ managing director of cloud-based music platform Pandora, Jane Huxley, is leaving her role to pursue other opportunities.

The former SurfStitch director joined Pandora just over four years ago and was responsible for launching Pandora Internet Radio in Australia and New Zealand, creating brand awareness and preference, and successfully expanding Pandora's registered user base to over 5 million by leveraging organic and paid channels.

She also implemented the commercial model in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, and established many significant market partnerships.

"It's been an amazing ride at Pandora, and I’m so proud of all we have achieved," she said. "With the business on these solid foundations, I’m looking forward to my next adventure.”

“We thank Jane for her dedicated service over the last five years," Pandora's CEO, Tim Westergren, added. "She has firmly established our brand in the ANZ market, built a world class team, and pioneered our first subsidiaries outside of the United States. We wish her well.”

Pandora's director of revenue operations for A/NZ, Taly Yaniv, will step in as interim head of A/NZ.
